Nippon Guild uses Xfire to communicate outside of A18. [日本語 Xfire ガイド]

If you would like to coordinate with other guild members to easily join A18 matches and tournaments, we encourage you to create an account. It's also a nice program to have for all sorts of gaming since it has a variety of features.

How do I create an Xfire account and register to Xfire Nippon Guild?

1. Download Xfire and install.
2. During install, you will have the chance to choose the language and create an Xfire username.
3. Once you have an Xfire username, go to the Xfire Nippon Guild application to register yourself as a guild member in Xfire.
4. Enter your Albatross18 username in the message and press "Submit Application".
5. Once an admin accepts your application, your Xfire messenger will automatically load the Nippon Guild member list. For the time being, you can add mFrog, anemone828, and metender to your freinds list so that one of them will approve your application.

What are the features and benefits of Xfire?

• Chat right inside the game without Alt-tabbing out or minimizing the window. (press [Scroll Lock] + [X])
• Launch all your games from one spot and keep track of play time.
• See which games your friends are playing right now, chat or voice chat across different games
• Get a personal stats page like this, and create mini banners
• Server management, instant join, take screenshots, video capture, file transfer, etc.
• Load a dynamic list of Nippon Guild members, group chat, or join more guilds in other games
• No need to expose your personal messenger username.
• supports various languages

What are some tips for using Xfire?

• Leave Xfire on while you play any game, and Xfire can track your playtimes.
• Some games can even track player stats and scores. You can view them in your profile.
• You can close the info view by pressing the left triangle in the far-right.
• Right click usernames in the friends list to bring up options for the friend
• Right click the tray-icon and then "Launch" to start any registered game
• Press [Scroll Lock] + [x] to access Xfire while playing a game
• Press [Scroll Lock] + [s] to take a screenshot. They will be added to your profile gallery.
• Enable Video Capture in "Tools" -> "Options" to press [Scroll Lock] + [v] to capture video. Press [Scroll Lock] + [v] again to stop capturing. Half-size should be sufficient for YouTube. (Unfortunately this doesn't seem compatible with Xfire yet)
• While chatting with a friend, choose "Actions" -> "Invite more people" to start group chat.
• There is no way to send an announcement to all guild or group members yet, but the feature is planned.
• For games with multiple play servers like Counter-Strike, Battlefield, and Guild Wars: go to the "Server" tab to view your server play history, add servers to favorites, connect directly, etc.

Other fun uses with Xfire?

• Creating MiniProfiles: Xfire's MiniProfile creation page allows you to generate mini-profile pics to be used in your home page or this web site's signature field.

  Xfire Username: Enter your Xfire username
  Skin: Choose the style. If you don't see a sample, try reloading the page.
  Size: You can choose the size and amount of info. "Short and Wide" works best for this web site's signatures.

• Xfire Plus - CSX: (Registration at Xfire Plus required)

  Xfire Plus CXS allows you to create and design advanced profile pictures like below. You will need to create an Xfire Plus website account first. Xfire Plus is a third-party organization that provides various Xfire extensions for free.

• Xfire Plus - Music Plugin: (Registration at Xfire Plus required)

  Xfire Plus Music Plugin allows you to display what you're playing in your music player as the Xfire status.

• Xfire Plus - Multi-IM: (Registration at Xfire Plus required)

  Xfire Plus Multi-IM allows you to talk to MSN buddies through Xfire, even inside a game.

• Facebook Xfire App: If you use Facebook, you can add a section in your profile that shows your Xfire profile by adding the Facebook Xfire application.
